A Bison truck crashed into a home near Texas in the Texas Panhandle Sunday night, killing a woman and her six children.

    The accident happened about 8:40 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Pecan Ridge Road in Dallas, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release.

    The Texas Department for Public Safety has not yet released the identities of the family members who died.

    The driver of the truck was arrested and is being held on a $100,000 bond, the news release said.

    The Bison Truck involved in the crash was registered to Robert and Kathy Johnson, a married couple from Dallas, and the driver is Robert Johnson.

    The truck was carrying a load of bison when it collided with the home, according the news statement.

    A witness told CBS News the truck ran a red light at a red signal, hit the side of the home and then went into the ditch.

    A resident of the nearby home was able to pull the family out of the ditch and into a neighbor’s house.
