A water truck could soon take water from the North Ballarat waterfront to Adelaide from Perth.
The State Government says the $25,000 project, which is funded by the $5.6 million Northern Water Infrastructure Fund, could provide 1.3 million litres of water per hour.
“We have an opportunity to provide more than 100 million litres per day to the north-west region,” Premier Troy Grant said on Monday.
“The potential of this project is huge.”
A water truck, which would transport water from North Ballarra to Adelaide via an elevated rail line, would transport the water from Lake Macquarie to the Northern Water Port at the north shore of Lake Macduff in Perth.
